I’ve always believed the most meaningful stories don’t come wrapped in perfection.
They come in pieces, scattered like dust in the corners of ordinary days.
They live in quiet coffee mornings, backyard celebrations, fields of wildflowers, shoes at the door, laughter that brings tears to your eyes and makes your stomach ache in the best way, the innocence of a child, or the ache of a quiet room when someone’s missing.
This blog wasn’t born from a plan.
It was born from a longing to hold onto the moments that feel too sacred to let slip away, and to share the ones that remind us we’re not alone in our becoming.
I’m a photographer, yes. But more than that, I’m a collector of light and moments too meaningful to forget.
Not just the golden kind that hits just right before sunset, but the kind you find in unexpected places—
like in the resilience of grief, the laughter with the ones you love, or the softness of faith when everything else feels heavy.
Of Light and Dust is where those stories will live.
The messy, the meaningful, the mundane, all of it.
The dust that reminds us we’re human.
The light that reminds us we’re not without hope.
Here, you’ll find:
Glimpses of my life in small-town USA,
Stories behind the photos I take,
Reflections on faith, motherhood, marriage, hurting and healing,
And maybe, little reminders that beauty still exists, even when things feel a little broken
Because around here, we’re not chasing perfection.
We’re honoring what’s real.
And if you’re someone who finds comfort in both the grit and the grace, you’re in the right place.
Thanks for being here. I hope you find a bit of your own story in mine.
